If you’ve done your homework, you have been planning your home for sometime now. You have a pretty good idea of what you want to build. You have been collecting photos, reading blog posts, and preparing spreadsheets.
Now it is time to take action and schedule your initial consultation. Here’s what you need to know.
There is us two main scenarios, you have your plans or you don't. If you have our plans, we can start looking at your finishes, materials, and costs. I you don't have plans, be ready to answer some questions —lots and lots of questions. On either case, we will walk you through the question-and-answer process.
These are some of the questions we will be asking:
What size home do you need (livable square-footage)?
How many baths, bedrooms will meet your needs?
What home layouts fit your style and plans?
What’s your ideal budget?
Do you need purpose-specific rooms?
Will you build on a slab, basement, or crawlspace?
We will have 2 or 3 meetings before we can put together a ballpark.
Getting ready for your meeting:
Bring few pictures, sketches or sample plans of the houses you like.
Make 3 lists: wish list, must have list, and don't like.
